Change will come through awareness, tolerance, education and the willingness to admit that hereditary leadership does not work anymore. New blood is needed (not to be shed), but to take over. NO to having my country's destiny tied to the ravings of a "divine lunatic" !!!!!!

I enjoy reading your blog very much.I noticed that there are many issues that you are unhappy with in Lebanon.I live in the United States America. And I have been to Beirut,Lebanon in 2005.I did not feel free there, somehow and I found Beirut, impersonal,a bit like New York.Tell me do you like living in Lebanon or are you unhappy there and prefer to live somewhere like America or Euorope.I have also been to other Arab countries and they are not as free as the west. But I like your website a lot.Keep writing good posts.Emma,Washington DC,America.
Thank you Emma. My bitterness comes from the good memories I have from what once a beautiful country. I have made a choice to come back after having lived 16 years in England. I have been to the USA o many occasions, from New York, Miami, Virginia,New England,...etc. My travels also took me to Egypt, Dubai,Syria, Abu Dhabi and Saudi Arabia; but those were strictly business trips. I love my country and long for better days; but having lived abroad for a long period of time I do somehow feel cheated and frustrated. I still miss England, but I am back home to stay.
