I hope the sun will never rise

Dear………………..,

Before I go to sleep tonight, I will pray to my own private God (and yes he has become mine), not to let a new day awaken. I know that tomorrow will bring more death and destruction, and fuel hatred we can do without. Most of all, I don’t want tomorrow to come, because came a time when I believed that Lebanon had a chance of survival. That I could live in peace alongside people I fought against (and my own private God knows how varied they were). I did accept (not any longer), a difference in political views; and believed in democracy, but not at the expense of my country and my well-being. All warring fractions are to be held responsible and accountable for the harm they have inflicted on MY PEOPLE & MY LAND, yes MY PEOPLE & MY LAND. I therefore claim possession of Lebanon, since no one has the guts to say it.
